Expiry-aware
Weekly and monthly index expiries have different lot sizes, settlement rules and behaviour around expiry day. Neither is treated as cash-market trading.
Index and stock options behave nothing like the index itself. Strike, premium, expiry, IV and lot size decide the result, so Trade Metrix keeps all of them visible while you design, test and paper a rule.
Options are not a variation on cash-market trading. Each of these lanes carries different rules, and the workspace treats them as separate contexts.

The BSE index option chain has its own strikes, lot sizes and settlement rules, kept separate from NSE assumptions.
Single-stock derivatives carry their own IV, lot size and expiry cycle, so position size and capital are computed per underlying.
A long call, a call spread, a covered call or a stock-option cycle. The rule and the invalidation level are stated before anything runs.
Spread, premium, charges and lot size are inputs, not footnotes. A structure that only works at zero cost does not work.
See the breakeven, the capped and unlimited sides, and what assignment does to the result — before risking capital.
Run the workspace on generated data, read the trade log, and only then consider a broker connection as a deliberate, separate step.
The things worth being straight about before you decide anything.
No. Trade Metrix is software for designing and testing your own trading logic. It is not a broker, fund manager, investment adviser, research analyst or signals desk, and it does not hold your money.
No, and the page says so plainly. The payoff explorer evaluates a defined structure at expiry using premium you enter from your broker's chain. There is no Black-Scholes, no implied-volatility solving and no greeks.
Both are explicit inputs. Lot size sets the capital a position actually needs, and capital at risk is shown rather than implied. For a naked short the workspace shows the full contract value, not a flattering margin figure.
No. Everything shown is a clearly labelled generated sandbox snapshot. Verified live or paper results need a source statement or trade export, and are not published here.
Trade Metrix is a software platform. It is not registered as an investment adviser, research analyst, portfolio manager or broker, and it does not provide investment advice, stock tips or buy/sell calls.
No login, no broker connection, no orders. Open the workspace and run a rule on generated data.
Risk and regulation. Leveraged and derivative trading involves substantial risk of rapid loss. Product features, lot sizes and regulatory obligations change — check your own broker's current contract specifications and the rules that apply to you.
